As part of my MBA experience at the College of William & Mary Mason School of Business, we are urged to create junto groups to discuss pressing issues of the day.  The “junto” was common in the early days of the American Republic, with small groups gathering to research and discuss topics of their choice.  This collaborative group would in turn educate each other, promoting learning and problem solving.  Such groups were led by the likes of Benjamin Franklin.

I am happy to announce that one of my ventures, Island Souvenir Shop, has won a new venture seed grant! 

The current healthcare system suffers from a severe lack of organization in terms of data collection and storage processes. Waste, fraud, abuse, simple human error and malpractice are just a few symptoms caused by the lack of sophisticated, centralized and smart healthcare information technology.

The program is capped off by a virtual business simulation over a one week period, allowing for the synthesis and application of all of the subjects covered.
